No-code

No-code means assembling applications in a visual builder instead of programming. How it differs from vibe coding and why Openbase.one is not a no-code builder.

What is no-code?

No-code describes tools for building applications without programming. They are usually visual builders: drag fields onto a page, put forms together, connect steps as boxes and arrows. Low-code is the variant where you still add a bit of code in places.

No-code makes simple applications possible quickly. The limit is the builder itself: what it does not provide is hard to build, and the result usually stays tied to that vendor.

No-code and Openbase.one

Openbase.one is not a no-code builder. There is no drag and drop and no form builder. You describe in your own words what an app should do and who may see what, a build agent builds it, and Openbase.one only asks you the domain questions. That is closer to vibe coding than to no-code.

What comes out is real software:

  • with a data model, permissions and tests,
  • checked with test personas before every release,
  • as a git repository in your workspace, with exportable data.

You still write no code. You stay in your field, and the build agent takes care of the technology.

Describe your first app and watch it go live, checked.
