Building an app with AI is quick these days. The hard part comes after: does the manager really see only their own team? Does a salary show up somewhere it shouldn't? In Openbase.one, the answer doesn't come from gut feeling. It comes from a check that every version goes through.
What gets checked, every time
Every version of an app is built and checked before it goes live, whether it's the first release or the twentieth small tweak.
- Data model: does the structure of the data match what you described?
- Access rules: are permissions set up the way you phrased them?
- Data classification: every record is classified as internal, personal, sensitive or tax-relevant.
- Every page, every role: Openbase.one opens every page of the app in a real browser, as every test persona.
Test personas, not wishful thinking
Test personas are the roles that exist in your app. For an employee directory, the check looks like this:
- Test as a manager: no salary visible
- Test as HR: all salaries visible
The check doesn't just read the rules. It opens the app the way your people will. Whether a rule holds shows up on each role's screen.
If it fails, it doesn't go live
A version only goes live once the check passes. If the build or the check fails, the current version keeps running and your colleagues don't notice a thing. You see what didn't work, describe the change, and the next version goes through the same check.
If you spot something after release, the previous version is live again in one click.
What the check doesn't decide
Safe, here, means checked, isolated and reversible. The check shows that your rules work technically. Whether the app is right in substance, say whether a deadline is calculated correctly, is up to the team that builds and approves it. That's deliberate: business decisions belong to the people who know the process.
If you'd like a second pair of eyes, the Premium support contract includes a review of new apps before they go live.
For IT
Admins see every app in the workspace and every change. An exportable audit log records who changed what. The check isn't a step someone has to add or might forget. It's part of every app built in your workspace.
Pricing and support
The check is part of every app, on every plan. How the plans differ and what the Care and Premium support contracts include is on the pricing page.
