Not every app has to be built from scratch. A lot of what your team needs, another team has already built. In the Openbase.one App Store you find ready-made apps, install them with one click and start working. The selection isn't huge yet, but it keeps growing. And whatever is missing, you build yourself.
What's in the store
The App Store holds two kinds of apps:
- Apps from Openbase.one. Running today: Files, Mail & Phone, Meet, Bank, Payroll, Website and Wiki, among others.
- Apps from teams who share theirs with everyone. An HR team builds a tool that works well and puts it in the store. Another company installs it and skips the work.
The store is organized by category: productivity, communication, files, HR, finance, sales, operations, projects and knowledge. Installs and ratings are visible, so you can see what others rely on.
Install means start now
When you install an app, you get the published version that has already been built and checked. No build, no waiting, no AI costs. Before you install, you see which data the app uses. After that it runs in your workspace with the same people, permissions and data as everything else.
There is no license per app. You pay for your workspace, never for the individual app, and not per person using it.
Updates on your terms
For every installed app, you decide how updates arrive:
- Automatically, if you always want the latest version.
- Only after you approve, if you want to read the release notes first.
Every version is kept. If a new version doesn't suit you, the previous one is one click away.
Customize without breaking anything
An app fits almost, but not quite? Customize it. Openbase.one creates your own copy in your workspace. From then on it's your app: you describe what should change, a build agent does it, and every version is checked before it goes live. The original in the store stays as it is.
Sharing is a choice, not a requirement
Every app you build stays in your workspace by default. If you want to share it, it appears in the App Store with your name on its page. The rules:
- You share design and code, never your data.
- Screenshots come only from test data.
- Before you share, you see exactly what leaves your workspace.
- You can withdraw a shared app at any time. Anyone who already installed it keeps their version, and it keeps running.
What the store is not
The App Store is not a closed marketplace where software is sold. It's an open library: teams build for themselves, and if they choose, others benefit. Whether an app fits your processes in substance is your call. Release notes, ratings and, if you want, a support contract help you make it.
What it costs
App Store apps carry no license, and installing uses no AI credits. You pay a flat price per workspace, with unlimited users and apps. See all plans on the pricing page.
